Some email clients do not allow "@" in the username. The "@" can be replaced by "%" in the username for those clients.</li> <li>If you are using San Jose Web's dialup service or your ISP allows you to use SMTP servers besides their own the SMTP server is: mail.sjweb.net. If you are using this SMTP server then SMTP authentication must be used. In Outlook and Outlook Express this is turned on by checking the box that says "My outgoing mail server requires authentication". If you are using your ISP's SMTP server you should follow their instructions</li> <li>Some ISP's including SBC are now blocking access to outside SMTP servers on port 25.
